Checkpoint: Boca Raton
Welcome to Boca Raton, Florida! Originally, this area was inhabited by Native American hunter gatherers
who would relocate seasonally between sources of shellfish. The area called "Boca de Ratones" by the Spanish was actually located to the south, in what is now Biscayne Bay. However,
mapmakers mistakingly moved this location north, and began calling the city's lake as "Boca Ratone Lagoon."
In this day in age, Boca Raton is said to be the "Beverly Hills of Florida," due to its well-developed beach resorts, country clubs, as well as five-star shopping and restaurants.

However, it's not just old people who are from Boca Raton, there have been a lot of notable people from this city. In the world of sports, there are a great deal of people from Boca Raton, including UFC fighter Vitor Belfort, baseball player
Yuniesky Betancourt, and football player Yvenson Bernard just to name a few. In regards to music, there are a huge amount of musicians from Boca Raton from all different genres. Some of these people include the famed 80's rock singer Jon Bon Jovi,
